This past weekend I traveled to Jacksonville to attend a bridal shower and bachelorette party. Not for me but for a long time friend of mine. Marie and I were set to be friends before we were even born. Our mothers went to high school together, roomed together in college and are still to this day the very best of friends. Marie is a bridesmaid in my wedding and I am one in hers. She is getting married on June 25th, exactly 55 days after me! We are even wearing the same crinoline under our dresses. How fun!!! Below is a picture of all of us girls taking a shot to start the night off. I will tell you I am glad this picture was taken because that is probably the last shot I will take for a long time. My days of liquor in tiny plastic cups, crowded dance clubs and looking at the clock to find that it reads 3:00 a.m. are pretty much over.
We had a blast that night and all of the girls were so much fun. But the drive home yesterday was painful and I am pretty sure my mother thought I was dead when she came home and found me in her bed, fast asleep. I couldn't even make it to my apartment!! I am back to my usual self today but man, my legs hurt from trying to dance to that Ke$ha song that I CANNOT get out of my head!! The night was a lot of fun but I think it was enough to tide me over for quite a while...
