Venting

Ok, so there is this guy that works next door to my office. He is a shoe shiner. He comes complete with an apron and everything. Well, I guess the shoe shining business is not that lucrative these days because all he does ALL day is stand outside and talk to everyone. And when I say talk, I mean he speaks at an unbelievably loud volume. And when I say everyone, I mean any person that walks within 50 feet of him while he is leaning on the parking meter. Including people driving their cars in traffic. And he insists on doing all of this right outside my window. It drives me INSANE! I try to do my best to ignore him but seriously, if you must talk to the guy on the other side of Monroe Street, why not just call him on your cell phone instead of literally yelling at him over four lanes of traffic?? Not everybody down town needs to know that you are selling tickets to some function for next Saturday night.

And while I am at it, the guy who rides his Segway up and down every side walk in Tallahassee (this is a motorized contraption that has two wheels and the operator stands up on it), you need to walk like the rest of us. I am pretty sure that whatever meeting you are heading to is no more important than those that the rest of us have to get to. And we get there perfectly safe on foot!! You are a young, healthy human being. There is no need for you to be zipping in and around everyone on that stupid machine. Park it and walk!!!!
