Melt My Heart

Every day I discover a new thing that I love about Gavin. Today it came when I was rocking him. We are trying to establish a routine with him. So every night we give him a bath (he looooooves bath time!) and then we put him in his pajamas and I wrap him up in a soft blanket and gently rock him in his rocking chair. He sucks on his pacifier and just stares up at me. Right now his eyes are a deep blue. They are the exact shade of mine. We just stare at each other with our mirror image eyes. Of course I love this but the thing I love the most is that he reaches up and grabs my shirt with his right hand and just holds it. It is the simplest but most wonderful thing. And he only does it at the end of the night. I don't want to ever move and I never want him to let go. But ultimately he starts nodding off and his little hand falls down on his chest and he is sound asleep. So I put him in his crib and I just have to wait until the next night when I know he will reach up and grab my shirt, tugging on my heart.
