Sour breast milk is without a doubt the most awful smell I have ever... smelt. (Is that even a word??) Milk will get on my clothes and Gavin's clothes and let's face it, the laundry does not get done in a timely fashion. By the time it gets put in the washing machine, UGH! And it tastes just as awful. Yes, I got curious and took a swig. Huge mistake. Don't do it.
There is absolutely nothing on TV between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 a.m. except infomercials and "Cheaters". My DVR has become exceptionally important to me.
How to deal with Cheerios being all over the kitchen floor and not being able to do a thing about it until an hour or two later.
I can go half the day without brushing my teeth. Not that I enjoy it, but the fact is I can do it if I have to. And I can forget washing my hair. I think I am on day four now. I lost count. Please don't judge me. I'm still learning!
Gavin slept until 5:00 a.m. and I was actually ecstatic about it. I have never ever in my life been HAPPY about getting up at five o'clock in the morning unless I was getting up to catch a plane to go see Chad. But you sleep on your newborn's schedule and this morning mine decided it was time to sleep for four hours straight and Mommy was thrilled! Let's hope this is a set routine!
I can be peed and pooped on and not even blink an eye. This thought used to evoke a huge gag reflex from me. Again, not that I enjoy it but I can deal with it with a gusto that even amazes me. Gotta hand it to those motherly instincts!
I cannot believe how much my heart is filled. I have been so blessed this past year. I got my dream wedding to my dream guy. I have wonderful friends and an even more wonderful family. I just didn't think I had more room for anything else. But God teaches you things throughout your life. And this week my lesson was this: there is always room for more love.
