These Shoes were Made for Walkin'

First off, let me say that I am completely aware at how ridiculous it is that I bought shoes for a child that will not walk any time in the near future. I told myself I was not going to fall into the trap of buying cute shoes just for the sake of looking adorable. He won't use them and he will certainly out grow them in a heart beat. And then I woke up to reality. I have a closet full of shoes. I love the closet at this house because it has a ceiling to floor shoe shelf. It is like having my shoes on display like little pieces of art for me to admire every time I walk in the closet. My ultimate goal in life is to have a closet like Goldie Hawn did on 'Overboard'. It makes my eyes sparkle just thinking about it. So it wasn't going to be long before my total admiration of footwear would invade Gavin's closet. And I say invade because I literally have to fight the urge not to keep getting more. I seriously bought two pair of the same shoe because I know he will out grow them so fast and I want to be able to enjoy them for a little while. Like I said, I am in complete awareness at how insane I am.

But they are just SOOOOO cute on him!!!

  1. Oh Claire! You are such a mess (totally sweet and funny kind of mess). When I read this blog I laughed till I cried only because I know you and I know your shoe fettish. Gavin doesn't stand a chance in not loving shoes like you do!!!!! He'll be the kid with the coolest shoe collection that everyone will envy. :-)
