These past two weeks have been a big adventure in the life of Gavin. The biggest event was his first airplane trip. He and I flew to Austin to meet up with Daddy while he was there working for his Guard unit. I was a little nervous as you never know how the little ones will do with the changing air pressure. And of course how would he handle being cramped up with all those strangers? Well I am happy to report that he did GREAT! He slept for the first leg of the trip and was happy and entertaining the second leg. He never even whined when we took off and landed. Everyone on the plane commented on how good he was. One lady even said she didn't realize I had an infant with me. He never stops making me proud!
Gavin also had his first experience with a pool this past weekend. He of course loved it! We went to a party and this pool was so amazing. It had a huge concrete seat in it with a big umbrella which made Mommy happy as I did not want him being in the sun. Having me and Chad as parents, Gavin never had a chance of having any tint to his skin whatsoever. Gavin and Daddy played in the pool and just had a blast. Needless to say our little boy was tuckered out at the end of the day.
Another big milestone is that he is trying to turn over. He hasn't quite gotten there yet but he twists his body and gets so frustrated because he wants to do it so bad. One day, Gavin. Mommy doesn't want you growing up too fast!

I thought this was so funny! He got so tired trying to turn over he just fell asleep. So sweet! |
Gavin also loves his reflection. Every night when we get him ready for his bath we let him look at himself in the mirror in our bathroom. It is a huge mirror and has lights all the way across the top of it. He loves smiling at himself in that mirror. And without fail, we will put him in his gym and he will start talking and cooing to his reflection in the mirror that is hanging on the top of it. He thinks he is just the cutest thing he has ever seen. Mommy totally agrees with him!

Isn't life just grand when you are Gavin?? I can't wait for everyone back home in Florida to meet him. We have a little less than a month to go. And now that I know he can handle the airplane flight, I am SO ready to be there! I am so excited to share these smiles and coos with everyone. They are my world!
