What's New in Gavin's World

What an exciting world it is! Every day he discovers something new and wonderful. Like feet! He has been grabbing them for weeks but yesterday I think he actually saw them for the first time. He holds them up in the air and just stares at them. It is hilarious.

Look at those toes!!
He is constantly rolling over onto his tummy and back on his back. He squeals at the top of his lungs because he is just so proud of himself. He moves all over his crib at night. He just has a grand ole time in there. He is even starting to learn to balance himself while he is sitting up.

Rolling back and forth can be so exhausting

Such a big boy!
He wants to walk SO bad!
His grip is getting better and better by the day. This is fun news for Gavin but not so much for my hair. He now dictates how Mommy will dress for the day: hair up, no accessories. And everything goes in the mouth! This also dictates how many times Mommy needs to vacuum the living room. Dust bunnies and stray hairs need to stay out of the mouth.

Poor Maggie Moo is always covered in drool
He got to meet 'Uncle' Billy last night. Billy is one of the main reasons that Chad and I met. We owe a lot to Billy and were very excited for him to meet Gavin. He is in Oklahoma this week and we went to dinner last night. Gavin was quite the entertainment. He had a 15 minute conversation with a painting on the wall. Oh the excitement he finds in the little things.

And just to prove to you how much my little man has grown, here is a picture of him when he was a week old. On one side of the coin, it seems like we just brought him home. On the other, it feels like ages ago that I was so overwhelmed with this little being in my life. Now I know what each of his different cries mean, I don't panic when he goes to bed, I can change a diaper and blow raspberries on his belly at the same time and he has become a part of my every day life. Actually he is more than just a part. He IS my life.

Oh my goodness!! So tiny!!!
