New and Exciting Things

I just had to share this with you. It is nothing major or important but I thought it was so funny. I had to go to Target yesterday and Gavin was getting really restless. So I decided to let him ride up in the front of the cart for the first time. I got my cart cover and put his blanket around him for extra padding. It was like taking him to Disney World for the first time. He talked, ok more like babbled, the ENTIRE TIME. I have never heard him chatter so much. He had something to say to the wrapping paper, to the clothes, to the books. He was so excited to get to see the world in this new view. He does ride in the stroller and look out at everything, but this way he was sitting up high and Mommy was right there with him. He was on cloud nine.

I had to take these pictures with my phone and as you can see- it is not a very good camera!

So naturally I walked around in there a good 30 minutes more than I intended so he could enjoy his experience a little bit longer. Of course this meant I was shopping more than I intended as well. I got so caught up in reading about the latest books that I looked down in the cart and Gavin was lying down just chilling out. The excitement of the moment was gone for him.

Can we please go home now??
