Gavin: 9 Months

I remember thinking about the Christmas holidays when Gavin was born. It seemed like such a long way away and him being nine months old was so foreign to me. Now the holidays have come and gone and nine months old is very much a reality in our house. Some things are the same and lots of things have changed. He still loves to take his baths and those baby blues are just as sparkly as they day he was born.

Probably his favorite time of the day- bath time!

We are still patiently waiting for those teeth to pop in. Ok, I am not patiently waiting at all. I want those things to get here more than I want my hair to grow back out. Poor Gavin is so aggravated. They are starting to give him quite a fit and besides a few doses of medicine and the next biggest teether, I am completely helpless in making it better. Time is our best bet at this point. Come on teeth!

We went to church Sunday and there is a little girl that is three days older than Gavin. She is crawling everywhere. Gavin sat there and stared at her the whole time she was wiggling from her mommy. Well wouldn't you know it, he started trying to pull himself up today. You can tell he has absolutely no clue what he is doing and whatever he is doing he is doing it wrong, but he is trying. He actually has some spark of interest. He gets completely aggravated and then sees the remote on the floor and loses interest. But it is a step in the right direction.

He laughs at everything. We waited so long to hear what his laugh sounds like and now it fills up our house. He thinks his daddy is the funniest thing he has ever seen and his Grammie is a very close second. I say I want those teeth to get here but there is not much out there that is cuter than his toothless grin. It's precious.

I have a feeling that this month is going to bring more changes than we have ever seen in Gavin. No matter how hard I try, I can't invent a way to stunt his growth. So I might as well enjoy the process.

I post all of these pictures of Gavin and if you were to just go by these photos, you would think he is always happy and content. I must say that these are a few in about a million that I take. I have to position him, fool him into looking in my direction and maybe, just maybe, he will smile in that perfect click of a moment. My computer is full of pictures that are not blog worthy. However, I just had to share this one. He had had enough of Mommy taking his picture and he was over it. It is so hard being the star of Mommy's blog!

No more!!!!!
