Happy Easter! He is Risen!!

What a wonderful day to celebrate our Savior's resurrection! Gavin woke up to a special treat from the Easter bunny. He got bubbles, more cars and Easter eggs filled with Puffs! He was very excited to go through all of his goodies in his Easter basket.

However, his good mood did not last through church service. Oh my goodness, he was awful!! We have reached the point in his life, as every little boy does, where he is absolutely against having to sit still. He wants to crawl around between pews, or talk during prayer, or eat the church bulletin. Anything but sit and be content. Chad had to walk him out three different times. I was totally against taking him to the nursery because I wanted us to share this special day as a family. But my vision of how it was supposed to play out was completely different than the reality of it. Mothers and our delusional expectations! Or maybe its just me. Either way, I am in for a rude awakening!

But it was a wonderful Easter morning. We got to celebrate and worship the life of Jesus Christ. We left church and went directly to Starbucks as my husband gave up coffee for Lent and has been looking forward to that trip for quite some time! We enjoyed a nice lunch as a family and are now quietly watching the final round of the Masters. Life is good!
