Roses Are Red

I had all sorts of wonderful plans for a photo session of Gavin for Valentine's Day. However, Mommy doesn't always get what Mommy wants. He has not been feeling that great and cold weather outside mixed with a snotty nose and stuffed up head did not make for an ideal photo opportunity. So I had to settle with some very quick shots of him. And I mean really settle. Usually I take at least 300 shots of him so that I have plenty to chose from when it comes to editing. This time he let me take FIVE. And he woulnd't look at me in a single one of them. Such is life.

Completely out of focus but oh well.

Even though we weren't feeling all that great, we did manage to spread some Valentine's love to others. We made marshmallow 'pops' and Gavin did a fabulous job of decorating them with all sorts of sprinkles. Gavin brought a lot of smiles to many of his friends.

Gavin got a little Valentine's surprise of his own from Mommy and Daddy. He is obsessed with forks right now so that was the big hit of the loot. And Mommy was surprised by some beautiful roses from Daddy!! So even though our photo shoot never really happened, we still managed to love and be loved. It was perfect.
