While I was driving to work this morning, they played a radio ad for FSU football. It had Gene Deckerhoff commentating a touchdown play: "He's to the 20, to the 10, to the 5, TOUCHDOWN FLORIDA STATE!!!" It gave me goosebumps!! I have been a Florida State Seminole since the minute I took my first breath. The very first picture ever taken of me as a newborn, I had a tiny little white FSU football laying beside me. My dad has been taking my brother and I to games since we were kids and I think the proudest he has ever been of me is the day I brought home my framed diploma from FSU. The Seminoles are even the reason that Chad and I met!
Moving to Texas means I will have to miss the home games that have been a part of my life for so long. However, my sweet fiance has promised me that we will have a package on our TV that will allow me to be able to see every FSU game that is televised. Even though I will certainly miss our AMAZING tailgating parties and the roar of Doak Campbell stadium, I know being with my new husband (he even gladly wears garnet and gold for me) and making our own FSU traditions will be just as wonderful. (However, I have advised him that we will be going home for Thanksgiving 'cause the Gators are coming to town that weekend and I MUST be there!!)
Go Seminoles
ReplyDeleteWell, you can bet that Hayes and I will be there! Just as long as you guys don't mind a couple of gator fans tailgating with you!
