Handled With Care

I had my postpartum doctor's appointment this morning. Everything looks fine and I am on my way to the old me. Well except for the extra, unwanted "tubbiness" in the tummy area and the fact that I broke my tail bone. Yes, I fractured my butt bone. I am sure Gavin will have a few laughs at my expense when he finds this out. There is nothing I can do about it but wait for it to heal on its own. It is most annoying when it is time to feed Gavin at night. He likes to be rocked and I can't really sit back and relax in the rocking chair. But it is a pain I must endure with satisfaction because it meant having my son.

While I was at the doctor's office, Dr. Wayman gave me a little gift for Gavin. It was a onesie that says "Handled with Care by Dr. Misty Wayman." It is so cute! We were so fortunate to have found Dr. Wayman. We had very little time to find a doctor when we moved here and frankly, it stressed me out to a point of me getting sick just thinking about it. We did not know anyone here that could refer us to a good doctor and picking out who will deliver your baby is pretty important. I mean, it is right up there with choosing the right shoes for that new dress you just bought! Its the last important decision to get to the final product! In the end I had a friend in El Paso that was from Oklahoma and she asked a few of her friends to give me some names. Dr. Wayman was the first doctor we visited and we immediately loved her. She is as tiny as a minute and she just really clicked with us. We are so thankful she was a part of giving us Gavin. And this little onesie really says it all. She was the first person to hold Gavin when he came into this world. And he was most definitely handled with all kinds of care.
