Happily Ever After... One Year Later

On this day a year ago, Chad and I were at West Point in New York taking our vows of marriage in front of God and our friends and family. It was such a picture perfect day and our first year together was just as perfect. We have traveled to so many places together and had so much fun. Hawaii, California, San Antonio, New York. Chad has introduced me to so much of the world I have never seen. We have moved twice, to Texas and then to Oklahoma. And of course the most wonderful moment has been the birth of Gavin. I would have never thought that on our one year anniversary we would be celebrating it with our one month old son. But I could never imagine doing it any other way.

We spent our day watching the OKC Thunder game. I have never in my life given a hoot about basketball. But ever since moving to Oklahoma we have been sucked into the whirlwind that is the Thunder. Everyone here loves them and they are in the playoffs. So it has been something we have really gotten into and have really enjoyed it. Even though we lost today. Boo!

Then we enjoyed a nice evening out to dinner as a family. Gavin of course slept the whole time but we had quite a few people remark on how cute he is. Um, we know! As you can see he could not even be bothered to wake up for the family photo. When it is nap time, there is no stopping him!

Chad, I love you so much. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for our beautiful son. Thank you for being you. Thank you for everything. I will spend the rest of my life, every moment of every day, showing you my pure, undying appreciation.
