My sweet, wonderful husband watched Gavin on Saturday while I got to spend some time with some friends. Girls and wine- I really needed that! We went to a wine tasting bar and had the best time. It was so nice to spend some time with adults and especially to enjoy a few glasses of some really good wine. (Although the lovely headache I had the next day was not so wonderful. All my wine drinking abilities were lost in those nine months of pregnancy. I must get them back!) This was the first time I spent away from Gavin and I have to admit he was on my mind the whole time. But I told myself I was not going to call Chad while I was gone. I knew he could take care of Gavin on his own and they indeed had a great time together. I thoroughly enjoyed my day out with the girls. But it will be a very long time before I am ready to go too much longer without my little monster. He is my world!
