God Bless the USA!

We had a wonderful Fourth of July! It was filled with everything American that you could possibly think of: grilling, a parade, fireworks and family. We took Gavin to the Edmond Red White and Blue Parade. It was so perfect! The weather was just right for an outdoor event. It was overcast so the sun wasn't beating down on us and there was a perfect breeze the whole time we were there. And to top it all off, we got a parking spot right next to the parade route! Gavin even managed to stay awake for most of it.

Best seat in the house!

All this excitement caught up with him

Look at those blue eyes!
We even got to watch the fireworks from our own backyard. Although they didn't start until after Gavin's bedtime, Chad and I enjoyed the moment together on our back porch with a cold beer. We sat there watching the sky light up and certainly enjoyed our freedom and were grateful to be Americans!
