I sure wish I could bottle that stuff up and sell it because Gavin is spitting it out like a little Pez drool dispenser. The only time it stops is when he is sleeping. It started off as blowing bubbles and now it has progressed into non-stop buckets of drool. He has to constantly have a bib on which means it is totally pointless for me to put any sort of cute outfit on him. I know this is all leading up to teething which is a dreaded word in the mothering world. I haven't had experience it with it but I fear it with each day it draws near. I'd rather just get it over with than keep wishing the whole thing away. Plus Gavin likes to be held up in the air like an airplane and I would enjoy it a lot more myself if drool wasn't constantly raining down on my face.
Let's see... new things we have recently learned... the most important is that he laughed for the first time! It was just as wonderful as I have always imagined it would be. And true to his mother's personality, would you have guessed that the thing that made him laugh out loud was his very own reflection. Of all the things this child sees and hears, his own face is the most amazing thing to him. He just giggled uncontrollably when Chad held him up to the mirror. We are trying to catch it on video so we can share it with everyone because believe me, it is worth hearing!

Well hello handsome! |

Totally enthralled with himself |
Another thing he has discovered is his feet. No matter where he is, he rolls up into a ball and grabs a hold of those toes and tries so very hard to get them in his mouth. They just won't quite cooperate and he can't figure out why. But that doesn't stop him from trying. He is one determined little boy!

Always holding onto those toes |
I think that his eyes get bigger every day. They are so bright and blue. It is one of my favorite things about him. Big blue eyes were the first thing I noticed about his daddy and it means so much to me that Gavin has them.

I will never tire of seeing this face!! |
