Claire Explains It All: These Feet Were Made for Walking

We have finally reached a milestone in Gavin's growing up. He started walking!!! Mom and I were just sitting in the living room and all of a sudden he started walking across the room to get to his toy chest. It was so quick and just an instant decision that he made, that for a second neither one of us even realized what he was doing.

This was the day he started walking:

Now he likes to stand all by himself, with no support of a near by chair or couch and just laugh at himself. He knows whenever he does this that he will get an instant standing ovation from everyone in the house. He still prefers to crawl to most places of interest but that is only because he is super fast on all-fours and he is still trying to get used to his balance on two feet. But I know he will soon be running to all corners of the house and yard and I better get my stamina built up!

I'll end this post with a some pictures I have taken over a few days of Gavin's infamous 'bed hair'. It never fails to crack me up when he pops up from his crib and he has blonde hair sticking up in all sorts of directions. I look forward to it like a text message from Chad.
