We are in September now which means fall is around the corner. Hopefully! It has been a great summer and we enjoyed the pool days and ice cream but I have to say, I am over it. This humid Florida weather has worn out it's welcome as far as I am concerned. Gavin loves to be outside and could care less about the 80% humidity in the air. Mommy is not so blind to its effects. I can't stand to be outside when it feels like I am breathing in soup.

Eating breakfast with Mickey (or as Gavin calls him 'Mou Mou') |
But as I said, Gavin has had fun these last days of summer. We have had play dates and fun times (and not so fun times) in the pool. He is so funny about the pool. One day he will love it and the next he decides it is his enemy. I try not to fret over it too much. I know there will be a day when I cannot get him to stay out of it. For now I will enjoy him wanting to be in Mommy's arms the whole time.

Playing with the new tractor Papa bought him |
So needless to say, I am ready for some cooler weather and for the love bugs and mosquitos to pack it up until next year when I won't be here to endure their wrath.
Chad is making the most of his summer days in Afghanistan. He is remaining very busy and has to fly quite a lot while he is over there. He doesn't complain about it though as it makes the time go by faster for him. He does get some days off here and there. One of his fellow soldiers built a deck where they set up a projection screen to watch movies. And he goes to the gym a lot. They are certainly making the best of their situation. Of course we will be SO ready for him to come home! We are counting on these upcoming holidays to make things go by a little faster for us.
