This past week we had our annual Propane Spring Board meetings here in Tallahassee. We always host a dinner out at my dad's Lakeview Hunting Preserve and it is an event that is heavily attended and very much enjoyed. The photo below is of my brother and I and a few of the industry folks at the dinner.

Well this year they all had a little surprise in store for me: they threw me a bridal shower. All 70 people that attended signed a card for Chad and I, gave us money and bought us gifts. It was one of the most humbling experiences I have ever been through. My heart was truly full. I will certainly miss seeing and talking to these people every week. Not everyone gets the satisfaction out of their job that I have gotten out of mine. Not only do I believe in the plight of both of these associations, I also believe these folks are some of the finest I have ever had the privilege to know.

You make such a cute cowgirl bride. What a nice surprise they threw for you - you would think these people loved you or something. I love you very much and I am very proud of you and I am just so thankful that you and Chad found each other and are getting married. I will miss you terribly, but I want you to know that I am so very happy for you. Mom
ReplyDeleteWell I love you too and you should not make your daughter cry on her own blog. I think there is a rule somewhere about that!
